How much are the lesson costs?
The fee is $30 per half hour individual lesson.
What is the youngest age that you start the children?
Once they start Kindergarten. Children make faster progress if the parents can sit in
during the lessons.
How do you teach?
My fundamental Violin training is Central European and my Violin Professors had
direct pedagogical links back to Leopold Auer. My professional examining and
adjudicating appointments keep me in constant touch with the latest educational
developments.
The important teaching aspects are that students can think out technical
problems through a "system", understand how posture relates to facility, develop an
awareness of how to play in different musical styles and public performance techniques.
My son/daughter has been learning for a long time and makes little progress, can you help?
This is a common question for students from about 6th Grade level. I do frequent remedial
teaching. Once you play for me, I will explain why you have specific difficulties and how to
remedy the problems.
I am an adult and have never played before, will you teach me?
Yes, I have had many adult beginners go on to Diploma level.
